ASME "R" Stamp • National Board Certified • Father & Son Since 2018
McPherson Specialty Welding Services holds an ASME "R" Stamp from the National Board. We repair and alter boilers and pressure vessels to NBIC code, on-site at the plant or in the shop. When a plant goes down, we are who they call.
On the job
An ASME "R" Stamp authorizes welded repairs and alterations to boilers and pressure vessels under the National Board Inspection Code. That is the core of this shop. Qualified procedures, qualified welders, and an Authorized Inspector who signs off before the job is closed.
Weld repairs, wall and nozzle restoration, and re-rating on pressure vessels, separators, and tanks. Brought back into service to code, not patched.
Boiler tube repair and replacement, retubes, and pressure-part repair. The work that keeps a boiler legal to fire and safe to run.
New nozzles, connection changes, and code alterations welded and documented to NBIC requirements.
Crack excavation and repair, weld build-up, and metal restoration on pressure-retaining parts that have to hold.
When a vessel or a boiler shuts a line down, every hour costs you. Emergency and shutdown work is our bread and butter. Call and we get a certified welder on it, on-site, fast.
Send your job and we confirm it against our qualified procedures before we quote.
Not stock photos. This is the bench, the steel, and the jobs that ran through the shop this month.

Every repair leaves a paper trail. Material certs, qualified procedures, and an R-1 signed by the Authorized Inspector before the job closes.
When a boiler or pressure vessel needs code repair, these are the operations that call. Based in Myrtle Beach, on the road across the Southeast when the job needs it.
Myrtle Beach, SC base. On-site code work across South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia. We travel for the job, or put a qualified welder on it.
Code work is the heart of the shop, but the same hands do custom fabrication and repair. Send a drawing, a sketch, or a photo of the part and we will quote it straight.
Tell us what you need made or repaired. Include the material, the quantity, your deadline, and a drawing, sketch, or photo if you have one.
Start a Fab RequestWelded repairs and alterations to boilers and pressure vessels are governed by code for a reason. The wrong fix from the wrong shop can void your compliance and your insurance. This is why the stamp exists.
Repairs and alterations to pressure-retaining equipment are meant to be done by a shop holding a valid National Board "R" Certificate, to NBIC code. We hold it.
No call center. No mystery subcontractor. The welder who makes your repair is qualified to the procedure and puts his name on it.
Material traceability, qualified procedures, and an R-1 report signed by the Authorized Inspector. Inspection-ready, every time.
The McPhersons
The first job, 2018
The first job this company ever got paid for was R-Stamp work. The crew was the old man, a buddy, and his son. His son's truck was down, so we hooked the trailer to the only thing that would pull it, an old gray Jeep, and rolled out.
We got it done. That is still how it runs. A certified welder, the people who trust him, and whatever it takes to put the job back in service.
Built by hand since 2018. The name on the work is the name on the door.
What failed, what it is, and where it sits. A photo helps. We will tell you straight if it is our work.
We confirm the repair, the qualified procedure, and the code path before anyone strikes an arc.
Welded to qualified procedure, on-site or in the shop, by a certified welder.
Inspected, signed by the Authorized Inspector, and filed. You leave with the paperwork.
Tell us what you have. A vessel, a boiler, a fab job, or a problem you have not pinned down yet. Send the details and we will come back with a straight answer.
